Dear Assisting Hands,
Thank you for the lovely plant that you sent to me. It meant so much and your hands were with loving care. Your thoughtfulness during the loss of my husband is appreciated and will always be remembered.
John and Brenda Peirce and their entire team were amazing. They all went above and beyond in the care of my mom. They took what was a difficult situation and made my mothers well being a priority
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you how much we appreciate the concern and care provided by Assisting Hands. Your organization goes above and beyond expectations and we could not have been more satisfied with the care.
We would like to bring your attention to Eleanor Brown, our caregiver, who became part of the family and took exceptional care of my mother. Mom looked forward to her visits and Eleanor was extremely patient and loving.
If I can ever offer any recommendations for Assisting Hands please do not hesitate to call.
Your service has been a great help in making my recovery possible. Each of the “assistants” has done a careful thorough job. Thank you for providing a staff that really “cares”.
Now that I am more able to take care of myself, I will not need daily help, but if in the future I should need help, I will surely look to you and your staff.
Please give a special thanks to Rebecca, Liz, Kelly, Skyler, Eleanor, and Michelle. They all did a good job and even went beyond their duties…they all offered to do anything I needed and were friendly and kind.
Thank you so much for the beautiful plant, but most of all, thank you for the wonderful care given to my grandma. She loved each and every one of you. Because of y’all, we were able to grant her one of her last wishes, which was to stay in her home.
Thank you again and God Bless,
Dear Millicent and Tom,
The two of you were a Godsend to my parents over the past few months. Dad enjoyed having you to interact with, read to him, take him on walks, etc. – Mom loved her Tuesdays when she could spend time doing the things she needed or wanted to do. It gave her a great peace of mind to know he was in your good care. There are many reasons I wish Dad was still with us – including because he would have more time with you.
Thank you so much for providing such a great service to them both and becoming friends along the way.
My father, who was 91 years old, fell and broke some ribs in February of 2013; after stays in two hospitals, he came home on March 11 and needed 24-hour care. We worked with another home care service for one week, until they called me on a Sunday evening and told me they didn’t have anyone to work the next shift. I called Assisting Hands and Tom Falk came and stayed with my father until someone relieved him. I was so impressed and grateful that the owner himself was willing to help.
The care that Tom and his team took both with my father and with me was so outstanding that I can hardly express my gratitude, respect and trust. The lead caregiver, Todd, was with him every day. My father adored Todd and felt very safe with him. Tom himself was with my father the night he passed. When the hospice nurse called me and told me that he would probably not survive the night, I spoke to Tom on the phone and told him that I placed my father in his hands to stand final guard with him. Tom kept him calm and comfortable until he died.
Tom and Todd came to my father’s memorial service; they both stood up and made statements about the man they had come to know and love. They cried with me and they expressed their deep affection for my father. They brought out the best in him during his final days: they made him comfortable and secure, they were a constant source of support for me, and I shall always consider them my very special friends who assisted my father to have a comfortable and peaceful passing.
Tom and his team have a bottom line which is excellent care motivated by compassion and love–not by money. Tom is in this business because he knows that the spiritual principle is the bottom line: to help the sick to be comfortable and to be comforted. I cannot say enough good things about Assisting Hands, and I am eternally grateful to them.
I was recovering from surgery and needed transportation to my Doctor’s office for a post-surgery appointment. Tom lined up Phyllis to pick me up and stay with me during the appointment. Phyllis arrived on time, and was great company while she transported me to and from my appointment. I highly recommend their professional and courteous service.
My aunt was provided care from Assisting Hands for over a year. We were very pleased with the girls that came to the house, especially Milicent. They were total opposites, but ended up being very good for each other. Assisting Hands was very caring, on top of things and made sure someone was there that my aunt was familiar with. They had enough caregivers that were familiar enough with my aunt, that when someone was sick or had an appointment, she was cared for with someone she was familiar with. This was very important to her. I would highly recommend Assisting Hands to anyone needing the services they provide.
You and your staff were so kind to be with Clarence in his time of need. We cannot express how grateful we were to have you.
We need assistance for transportation to doctor’s visits, shopping. Also with help around the house. Very flexible working around my schedule. Reasonable prices. Qualified staff. They helped me cooking in the kitchen and cleaning the house. They take me to all my doctors appointments and help with shopping.
My wife and I are my mother’s primary caregivers.
My mother, now at age 88 and legally blind, has been housebound and unable to care for herself since my father’s passing.
Enter Jodi from Assisting Hands! Jodi came to our rescue not only in providing compassionate care giving for mom in her time of grief but also providing much-needed respite care for us.
Just as important as sitting and doing crossword puzzles with mom, Jodi also takes care of housekeeping on the days we need to be away from home. Now we can relax a bit more knowing mom is in the hands of a trusted, caring, and trained professional when we’re away.
We can’t say enough good things about Assisting Hands. They’ve been a God-send.
