Featured Caregivers

Assisting Hands is proud to announce a partnership with the Irvine Unified School District's Career Link program. This is a federally funded program to assist recent graduates to locate internships in community businesses. Assisting Hands offers intern positions to Certified Nurses Aides and Home Health Aides to gain experience in the caregiving field by partnering them with experienced caregivers. Career Link has chosen Assisting Hand's caregivers for their superb caregiving skills to strengthen these new graduates' training through mentoring and hands-on experience.

Assisting Hands has partnered with Saddleback College Nursing Program to assist recent nursing graduates and nursing students to gain valuable caregiving skills. Students are recommended by their clinical instructors for positions as caregivers and are eligible for employment after evaluation by the training staff at Assisting Hands. This partnership has brought many highly qualified individuals into the circle of caregiving at Assisting Hands Laguna Beach.

Abigail Newton

Abigail Newton has recently completely her Nursing program at Saddleback College and has earned this award for her compassionate and skilled care when working with clients. Recently she was presented with a very difficult situation and managed to combine her skills in direct care with her critical thinking to aid in client transition from home to hospital. The family is grateful for her care and looks forward to having her continue as a caregiver when this client returns home. Assisting Hands is honored to have Abigail working for us!

Eva Philippe

Eva Philippe comes to us while finishing her Nursing degree at Saddleback College. She previously attended the University of California Irvine where she studied Biological Sciences. Eva brings her vocational spirit, compassion, enthusiasm and superb skill set to our organization. When placed in a demanding role she has demonstrated her ability to use her critical thinking skills and hands-on skill to assist with excellent patient care.

Mae Santos

Mae Santos has earned our Featured Caregiver award by demonstrating dedication and compassion to her clients. She came to us with excellent and varied experience and a superb skill set. She is involved as a volunteer working in Pediatric Oncology at Children's Hospital and with bone marrow drives at her local church. Mae has consistently maintained her relationships with clients by demonstrating her compassion and vocation for her caregiving work. She is repeatedly requested as a caregiver by our long-term clients.
