Meet the Owners
Assisting Hands Home Care - South Orange County offers clients personalized non-medical support services in their homes in order to maintain quality of life. Individualized services allow seniors, disabled persons, and others requiring non-medical assistance to remain independent, safe, and comfortable in their own homes.
Assisting Hands Laguna Beach is owned by Gale Friedman RN MS. Following graduation from UC Berkeley Gale received her Master's degree in Nursing and followed her passion for patient care as a staff nurse at Columbia Presbyterian in New York, UCLA Medical Center and Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles. She then spent two years as part of the clinical faculty at the University of Southern California School of Nursing. Gale is dedicated to providing seniors and others requiring assistance with the option that most people prefer- to remain in their own homes.
Erinlyn Garnsey is Director of Caregiver Training/Alzheimer's Specialist. Erinlyn will receive her Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Mount Saint Mary's College after graduating from the University of New Hampshire with degrees in Therapeutic Recreation and Psychology. Erinlyn has worked in a variety of nursing and physical therapy fields and has also worked with Autistic children. She has extensive experience caring for people with Alzheimer's disease and provides training specific to the care of the client with Alzheimer's and dementia. Erinlyn has always felt a strong connection with, and dedication to, the senior community and is a great asset to the Assisting Hands® family.
Alexa Friedman is the Director of Operations. Alexa graduated from UCLA with a degree in Communications. While at UCLA, she was involved with the Student Alumni Association, where she worked to plan networking events for students and alumni. After working in the marketing and communications industry Alexa has joined Assisting Hands® and will use her marketing and networking background to spread the word about Assisting Hands® and the services we provide.

We employ the most experienced, exceptional, and compassionate caregivers in the industry. After careful screening by our Director of Nursing each candidate must demonstrate a high level of expertise for pre-hire. Following skills training in all aspects of care including care of the client with dementia, Parkinsons, and Alzheimers, an extensive background check is performed. Each candidate becomes qualified to provide care after passing the above and certification in CPR and First Aid.
Assisting Hands Home Care - South Orange County sets new standards in home care with unannounced supervisory visits by administration, our ability to provide a caregiver within 24 hours of initial visit – sometimes the same day, and live-in and 24-hour services.
