Meet the Owners

Gail Silverstein

Owner Gail Silverstein, PhD got first-hand experience in trying to care for an aging parent long-distance when she was trying to assist with the care of her father in Ohio while living and working in Arizona. After he suffered several strokes, he was able to return to his own apartment, but was unable to remain there without some assistance with chores and routine activities of daily living. When she was unable to find someone to help, she ultimately moved him to Phoenix despite his preference to stay in the city where he had spent his whole life.

Gail has spent her entire career managing health care programs in many settings. She has also taught health care administration and policy at the university level. She is one of the founders of Assisting Hands Home Care.
