We are excited to announce our October caregiver of the month, Rosa Solivan. We knew Rosa was a gem when she walked in the door and continues to prove that each and every day with the local families she serves. Rosa is the kind of person whose positivity, energy, and excitement for life rub off on whoever she meets. We know her client enjoys the ray of sunshine that walks through her door in the morning! In addition to her upbeat demeanor, Rosa is responsible, hard working, and goes above and beyond for her clients (just ask them about her spaghetti). Rosa is people-person; she genuinely enjoys spending time with her clients and learning about their lives and experience. One of Rosa’s regular clients in Prospect Heights tells us that when Rosa entered the picture, she could finally sleep at night. From our side, Rosa exemplifies the mission of our office: to give families peace of mind while allowing their loved ones to live at home independently.
We are honored to make Rosa our Caregiver of the Month for October!

What inspired you to become a caregiver?
“What inspired me to become a caregiver was seeing how much my grandparents needed someone to help and be there with them. I thought if I can show the compassion and love to others like them it would make a difference.”
What advice do you have for new caregivers?
“My advice for new caregivers is to be yourself and treat them like they are your family.”
What kind of activities do you do with your clients?
“We go to church and the stores but we spend a lot of time talking and getting to know each other. She is an amazing woman and her stories are amazing. With my Saturday client, we watch TV and eat lunch together and talk. I fit in with both of them they remind me of my grandmother and grandfather.”
What are your future goals?
“My future goals are to get a nursing degree so that I can make a difference.”
What do you like to do in your free time?
“My free time is spent with my daughter and family. My daughter likes to read and ride her bike and I enjoy watching her grow and when I’m not with them I enjoy some coffee and a book- that’s my me time.”
