This week, June 18-25th is National Nursing Assistants Week!
Something Special for CNAs
We wanted to celebrate the CNAs (Certified Nursing Assistants) in our community, and also do something extra special for the CNAs on our team.
Here in the office we love to do fun little projects like this and we had a blast preparing to spread some Summer joy!
This week, to tell you a little bit about what it’s like to be a CNA, we asked our Caregiver Joey about her experience!
1. Why did you become a CNA? What do you like about being a CNA?
I became a CNA because I wanted to work in the medical field, and I thought it was a great starting experience! I love being a CNA because I get to work with people and I’m very much so a people person!
2. How did you like the CNA Program? How did it prepare you for home care?
The CNA program I took was over the summer of 2019, so it was a very fast semester. It was a bit more rigorous but it was great. You have to be very focused and committed 100%. The program itself made me very aware of how fast this industry is and how focused you need to be. When it came down to my Clinicals, I was kind of nervous about it. Then, I started to get the hang of it. If you’re ready for this career, it’s ready for you!
Beautiful answers! A big virtual hug and a great thank you to Joey and to all of our CNAs. We appreciate having you ready and willing for this important work we do. The training and experience you bring with you is invaluable. This week, let’s celebrate you and all the beautiful, unique skills you bring to the table!
