We are very excited to present our Caregiver of the Month for March…Diana! Diana has been a friendly and fantastic team member with Assisting Hands for two years! We love having Diana on our team working with her three steady clients… and also being a willing and available helping hand to fill in for other caregivers.
About Diana
Diana is not only a reliable and trustworthy caregiver, she is also just so easy and comfortable with her clients. You can tell that she truly cares about helping seniors and she always brings that extra oompf to engagement with them. She loves to go out with her clients, to get them fresh air and a break from the usual routine. She is always up for helping our seniors with learning or using technology. She has experience with all kinds of activities for seniors at all stages and for seniors with dementia. Diana is one of our compassionate superstars who is genuinely invested in her clients’ well being.
Here is Diana in her own lovely words, talking about what she loves to do:
1) What inspired you to become a caregiver?
Helping others is very gratifying. Just knowing I have the privilege to enrich another person’s life is such a rewarding experience to give back to the community in a most gracious way.
2) What advice would you give new caregivers at Assisting Hands?
We grow from our experiences. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, we all have been there. Be prepared by getting to know each individual client’s needs as best you can, and go forward with a smile and all your enthusiasm to make a difference in the lives of your clients and their families.
3) Why do you like to work for your home care clients with Assisting Hands?
Being able to make my client’s life more manageable in their home gives me purpose and fulfillment. Sharing a bit of laughter and timeless moments reminiscing their past brings me joy.
4) What do you like to do in your free time?
My pastimes include being out with nature, playing with my furry babies, going on outings with loved ones, or just finding that perfect recipe to test in the kitchen.
