As a caregiver, puzzles are a fun choice to build companionship with your client! You can leave them out and come back to them throughout the day or the week, and they reward you with a beautiful picture. The puzzle picture itself can be a real conversation starter. Remember to bear in mind the size of the puzzle pieces. Pieces that are too small could be frustrating to see for seniors with vision issues. Some people can get absolutely addicted to finishing them, why not see if your client is a puzzler!
For the right client, 20 Questions could be a fun activity. One player thinks of a person, place, or thing, and the other player can ask no more than twenty yes or no questions to find out what it is. It can be surprisingly exciting for caregivers and clients!
