In-Home Hospice Care Benefits
At Assisting Hands Home Care, we can help you through this difficult time with our hospice & end of life care services. We sit down with families to determine the type of care required and do everything we can to provide it as it is desired.
Individuals and families going through these scenarios deserve the highest-quality care and respect. We offer these services to those in need in Downers Grove, IL so they can live their final days with dignity.
Situations that involve a terminal illness or limited life expectancy are shocking and tragic. It can be very difficult for family members to accept the diagnosis. However, it is important to get past this stage of the grieving process and make sure that the needs of the affected individual are addressed in their remaining days.
Trained Caregivers for Your Peace of Mind
Our experienced caregivers at Assisting Hands Home Care Downers Grove are all bonded, licensed, and insured to provide in-home caregiving services. They are highly trained in these services, as well as CPR and first aid.
Additionally, our caregivers must go through an extensive screening process before working with any clients in order to ensure that they truly have the best interests of those they care for in mind. This means that you can expect topnotch services throughout this troubling time from compassionate caregivers.
Our ultimate goal is to give your loved one the care that they deserve, and their family members greater peace of mind. We try to make it easier for families to focus on end-of-life affairs while we give the individual with declining health greater comfort and consistent companionship. We do all of this in the comfort of the affected individual’s home, as this allows them to remain in a familiar environment.
Hospice Care for Your Loved One at Their Home
Our end-of-life services are completely customizable based on your needs. We offer a range of non-medical services designed to make your loved one’s life as convenient and comfortable as possible.
We begin by visiting the home of the affected individual to develop an appropriate care plan (while taking your feedback into account), and then proceed with providing the following services and more:
- Medication reminders
- Assistance with personal hygiene (e.g. bathing, using the restroom, etc.)
- Light housekeeping services (e.g. vacuuming, laundry, sweeping, dishes, emptying the trash, etc.)
- Meal preparation services
- Assistance with getting around the home as necessary
Perhaps most importantly, we provide your loved one with companionship and one-on-one care in their final days. We take the time to get to know our clients, partake in conversations and games, and build relationships.
