Edith, our Director of Client Care Services, has been part of the team since the beginning in 2016. She first entered the industry in 1996 after seeing how the in-home care was helpful to her own elderly family members. She has gone to numerous seminars and training to stay up to date in care and healthcare. She has a true passion for helping others and loves to help individuals continue their lives at home with the necessary care to remain safe and comfortable. As a woman o faith, she enjoys volunteering at her church and participating in their singing ministry. She also spends a lot of time with her children and grandchildren!
Starting with Assisting Hands as an intern in 2016, and through her practice, Nahomie has grown a passion for her profession. She loves working with the elderly community, knowing they can continue their lives in the comfort of their own homes. With her Bachelors in Sociology, she is the Office Administrator, keeping us organized! Outside of work, she can be found curled up with a good book. Her fun fact? She grew up speaking creole.
In charge of human resources now, Melanie joined in 2016 as an intern, knowing that she wanted to help the elderly community. Melanie leads a double life, working with us by day, and studying as a student by night, working towards her bachelors in Psychology. Her favorite thing about being part of Assisting Hands is being able to talk with clients on a daily basis, getting to know them on a personal level. Outside of studying, she loves spending time with her two dogs.
Most likely the most entertaining member of our team is Prince, an energetic and lovable 2 year old shih tzu. Prince is in the office most days and loves to spend his time meeting our clients’ family members! This pup is curious and not afraid to say hello. Outside of work hours, you can find him playing with his friends at the local dog park or getting tummy rubs before bedtime.
