Mitchell Weber is one of the co-owners of Assisting Hands. Over the course of 30 years, he has worked for both Fortune 500 companies as well as Private Corporations. He has been successful in key sales and sales management roles and has the proven ability to build and maintain customer base and sales relationships. His leadership, integrity and passion is a major factor in the success of Assisting Hands. Mitch’s key role with the company is in Business Development, focusing on the acquisition and retention of new clients.
Mr.Weber graduated Cum Laude from the University of Hartford with a BA Degree in Communications.
He is blessed with 2 amazing sons, 2 daughters-in-law, 3 stepdaughters, a grandson and currently resides in West Orange, NJ with his wife Beth and their crazy dog Mo.
Beth Weber is a co-founder of Assisting Hands of Morris, Essex and Passaic Counties. Throughout her career, Beth has served in a senior role in fundraising, marketing and communications for organizations such as The Community FoodBank of New Jersey, The Mental Health Association, Easter Seals, Doctors of the World, and Happy Hearts Fund.
Beth studied nursing at the University of Arizona with a concentration in women’s health and has taken her passion for social issues to the many organizations that she has worked with over the years including her current role as Co-Chair of the Board of Directors of Devoted To Children.
In addition to her work for nonprofits, Beth has also been active in organizations such as The Morris County Chamber of Commerce and has served in a leadership role in both civic and political organizations in Morris County.
Beth resides in West Orange, NJ with her husband Mitchell and dog Mo and is the Mother of three daughters and two grandsons.
Tzvi David Kagel
One of the co-founders of Assisting Hands of Morris, Essex and Passaic Counties, Tzvi Kagel has worked in financial services over the last several years and started his own personal financial advisor practice.
Tzvi completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Rutgers University and utilizes his degree to assess his clients and ensure that they receive the most professional and compassionate care. He specifically has a passion for working with the elderly and has focused on meeting the needs of this population.
Tzvi resides in Highland Park, NJ with his wife Gianna and two cats.
Director of Client Services
Edith Cruz has been working in the field of home health care for 20 years. She began her career in New York as a certified home health aide and graduated to client services. In her role as Director of Client Services for Assisting Hands, she plays an integral part of our team by coordinating the schedules of caregivers to our clients. In addition, she meets clients in their homes and introduces them to their new caregiver. Edith leads the orientation for new caregivers where additional interviewing and testing is done to ensure we are hiring the best possible candidates who meet the needs of our clients,
Mrs. Cruz makes her home in North Plainfield with her husband of 30 years, four children, five grandchildren and is fluent in Spanish.
Erica Weber, LCSW
Erica is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of New Jersey and New York. She received a Master’s degree in clinical social work from Hunter College, with a specialization in the Mental Health and Health field, majoring in work with Individuals and Families.
She has experience working with clients of all ages ranging from children to the geriatric population and has worked with a wide scope of issues including: HIV/AIDS and other medical issues, stress and anxiety, depression, substance abuse issues, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, trauma, relationship issues, low self-esteem and grief/loss.
Her treatment approaches are focused on each person’s unique and individualized needs and include aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic, supportive, strengths based, play therapy, narrative therapy, motivational interviewing and mindfulness/meditative techniques.
She strives to create a safe, compassionate and supportive environment, to help each individual reach their greatest potential for a happy, healthy and peaceful life.
Nahomie is the newest member of our team at Assisting Hands. Born in Haiti, she was raised in New Jersey in a large family. A graduate of Rowan University, she majored in sociology and intends on going into social work. Nahomie is planning a career in human services where she will be actively helping people to better their lives. Her internship with Assisting Hands will serve as a foundation to understand geriatric care and home health services.
Her previous employment history is working at the Rowan University Division of Facilities Planning and Operations as an office assistant, where she gained the foundation needed to understand the basics of administrative duties. She followed up with an internship at the South Jersey American History Museum where she searched for artifacts and assisted patrons visiting the museum. She also became proficient in grant study as an intern.
Her hobbies include reading fiction, cooking her favorite Caribbean cuisine, and mapping out countries she plans on visiting in the future.
