Things to Do In Stone Ridge

Stone Ridge is a suburb located in Washington DC with a mass population. It is one of the best places to live in Virginia. Residents of the area give you the ultimate suburban experience. Most of the people here own their homes and have a family-oriented lifestyle. Many young professionals are also living a liberal lifestyle right here in Stone Ridge VA.

For someone new to this place, don’t be afraid you will make friends in no time. The events and festivities make this area the most happening in the suburbs. You can plan a few fun activities here as well or try out some of the best cuisines in town. To help you better explore the suburb and its food culture we have compiled a list of diners and restaurants for you to visit while you are in town.

Ciro Ristorante

Ciro Ristorante is best known for its Italian cuisine. The place is run by a family originally from Naples, Italy which also is their inspiration for their menu items. They use the special ingredients from their region which makes it the go-to Italian restaurant for the locals. The ambience and the interior of the restaurant is pretty relaxing. It holds its reputation for the best customer service and certainly does not disappoint when it comes to the menu. Their pizza outdoes those from other fast food chains and is pretty busy on the weekends. The food is fresh and is cooked using the best ingredients. Their wine too is absolutely amazing. So if you are in town and in the mood for food, do give Ciro Ristorante a visit.

Shiro Sushi and Teriyaki

Shiro Sushi serves the best Japanese cuisine in the area. The locals head to the eatery for a nice Japanese food experience especially for the delicious hibachi they serve. Their shrimp and steak are equally impressive items on the menu. The Fuji Mountain roll and the Dragon roll are the local favorites from the diner. Their seafood is incredibly fresh and is served in significant portions. The ambience is calm and private that is perfect for a date night. Therefore if you are a sushi lover, then this place should be on top of your lists to stop by.

Ford’s Fish Shack

The shack resembles the many fish shacks that line the New England coast. The idea is to create a friendly casual dinner for seafood lovers. It is indeed the friendly neighborhood takeout/restaurant with the freshest seafood in town. The lobster and the clams both taste heavenly. The place is best for a weekday dinner. The handmade paintings that decorate the wall give it a beautiful look. The service is pretty quick, and the proportions are pretty fair too. Their wide range of cocktails is something that one must try. Their crab cakes are fresh and tender and some of the best items off their menu. The dips and sides complement the main dishes and taste absolutely divine. The overall experience is pretty enjoyable and if you’re in town for a short visit then do visit the place, it is totally worth it.

Hammer down Barbeque

This food diner has been continually evolving and growing. The eatery itself tells its success story. It started at the back of a trusty jeep by a US marine veteran who had a great passion for cooking. From then on till now the restaurant has been serving some of the best-smoked protein in town. His speciality is his freshly prepared homemade sides, locally produced craft beer and the limited amount of meat allocated for each day. The restaurant has a farmhouse- style theme with a handcrafted interior. The recycled wood accents and an extensive collection of old fashioned cutlery give it a more comfortable and less fancy outlook. The barbeque is indeed an exceptional treat for those who deem barbeque night sacred.

Glory Days Grill

This eatery is like one of those hangout places where you can sit and sip margaritas with your friends after a long day. Every day is happy hour which is a great thing if you are a beer drinker. Their price chart is pretty reasonable. Their food is equally impressive especially the boneless wings. If you are a loyal member, you can get a free buffalo chicken dip with it which tastes divine. Their portions are of good size and count as one of those hearty meals. Glory days is highly recommended for people wanting to chill out with their friends after work or before heading to the movies. It is great food for a good price.

T’Kila Latin Kitchen & Bar

This place is one of the most top rated restaurants located in the suburb. It is, in fact, a hidden gem to many of the local residents. Their bar service is great, and their mango margarita on the rocks is a must try. Their happy hour starts after 3 and ends around 8 pm during weekdays. Their Mexican street corn on the cob is a personal favorite cooked with such perfection. Their brunch is a fabulous one held on weekends which is inclusive of the alcoholic drink. The place is almost to never filled with a crowd which makes the service smooth. Do visit the place and see for yourself.

These are some of our favorite restaurants and diners that we hundred percent recommend to anyone new or a local of Stone Ridge, VA.
