In August, the Hispanic Chamber’s Healthcare Lunch and Learn met at DAF (Drug Abuse Foundation of Palm Beach County).
Marina Ramirez introduced Kimberly Rolston, Director of Development and Community Relations at DAF, who, together with her team, gave an excellent presentation on The Florida Marchman Act, which provides for the involuntary or voluntary assessment and stabilization of a person allegedly abusing substances like drugs or alcohol, and provides for treatment of substance abuse. DAF is a community-driven agency with the mission to encourage and support the process of recovery, to promote drug-free living, and mental well being.
As usual, it was a great event with TONS of networking opportunities! GREAT THANKS to Kimberly Rolston and the whole team at DAF for a delicious lunch and very informative presentation.
