October, 2019. A special announcement involving the family and legacy of Dr. Gene Cohen will be made this Fall, around the upcoming holidays.

Assisting Hands Home Care Potomac is working exclusively with Dr. Cohen’s family to release a fun game and memory tool to engage those suffering from Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

Since 1994, until his death in 2009, Dr. Gene Cohen, who held a Ph.D. in gerontology, worked tirelessly for the aging population, holding positions at the National Institute of Mental Health, the National Center for Creative Aging and the Center of Aging, Health and Humanities at George Washington University.

Assisting Hands Home Care Potomac specializes in providing the best in-home Alzheimer’s and Dementia care.  Our Dementia Education program is designed to help families and caregivers understand the needs of those affected by either disease. We believe that this understanding plays a vital role in the care provided.

As specialists in this field, Assisting Hands Home Care Potomac is both honored and pleased to play such an important role to improve the lives of those suffering from Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
