Oneida Westhoff is the co-owner of Assisting Hands® Tampa Bay. Oneida has a Master of Science in Engineering. Her thesis, the Instrumented Mannequin for Training of Caregivers in Safe Patient Handling and Movement, has been published in several scientific publications. Her passion to help others is a personal one that began at home with the healthcare of her parents. Oneida experienced firsthand how a family struggles with a father’s illness, a mother’s long nights without sleep and the financial and psychological toll impacting an entire family. Her identification with the family struggle of a loved one gave her the fortitude and desire to provide for better care within the local community and as a result, discovered her calling for care to others.
Oneida likes music, reading, outdoor activities, helping people in her community thru her church, and spending time with her family.
