Of the baby boomer generation, approximately 76 million of them are veterans of the armed forces. As veterans who have reached their golden years, they may qualify for benefits through Veterans Affairs (VA) that can help cover home care services. Retired servicemen and women who qualify, as well as their spouses, can receive home health care with the help of VA programs.
Assisting Hands Home Care is an approved provider of VA home care and respite care services for veterans and their spouses in Park Ridge, Niles, Norridge, IL and surrounding areas. These services are available to servicemen and women who qualify for VA benefits, as well as their surviving spouses. Applying for the VA Home Care Program
Before applying for our VA home care program, veterans must first apply with the Department of Veterans Affairs for benefits. Those who qualify with the Department of Veterans Affairs can receive home care or respite care services through our VA care programs.
Veterans receiving care through our VA programs can expect the same level of quality care that we always provide at Assisting Hands. Our caregivers will take the time to understand their unique needs and form a complete home care plan that includes personal care as well as assistance with housekeeping and transportation.
We offer the following VA care programs for veterans and their spouses who qualify for VA benefits:
