Coronavirus / COVID-19

At Assisting Hands Lombard, we are ready to serve your family.
Like so many of you, we have spent the last few weeks learning about the Coronavirus and it’s subsequent disease process, COVID-19. We have been watching closely at how it is impacting our world. We are paying special attention to how it could affect our clients, our Care Team and subsequently how we focus on Caring for you in a brand new health environment.
For Assisting Hands Lombard, that means understanding how to make the necessary adjustments to our work and operations, our training, safety precautions and the discussions we have with our Clients, Referral Sources, and Care Team.
We have one goal that guides us: keeping our Clients and our Care Team SAFE and happy at home. With that in mind, we have made several moves in our business in response to the threat of the Coronavirus. We will continue to make modifications as the situation warrants.
What We Do

At Assisting Hands Home Care, we understand that senior citizens and adults with disabilities benefit from receiving care in their own homes. Our trained, licensed, and dependable caregivers and personal assistants can help seniors and adults with disabilities overcome their challenges of living at home to make their home an even better place to be. Our home care services can include everything from meal preparation, medication reminders, shopping and errands, light housekeeping, and laundry to companionship and personal care that includes help with bathing and dressing.
Where We Help

Our home care services are available in the western Chicago suburbs of Lombard, Villa Park, Elmhurst, Carol Stream, Itasca, Addison, and the surrounding areas of DuPage County. We can provide home care for a few hours a day or 24 hours a day depending on care needs and we will customize our care to meet your needs and schedule.
Who We Are

At Assisting Hands, our mission is to offer our clients the very finest personalized non-medical home care, allowing them to live safely and comfortably in their own homes. Sometimes life’s natural events, such as aging, illness, or disability, can make living independently at home more difficult. Our highly trained and licensed caregivers will provide our clients with the compassionate, quality care they deserve.
24-Hour Care Home & Live-In Care

Leaving elderly loved ones home alone for any period of time can be stressful, especially if they suffer from a chronic condition. Assisting Hands Home Care can help seniors who need consistent care with our live-in and 24-hour care services.
With our live-in care services, we will place a caregiver in the home of your loved one who will live there for 3 to 4 days before switching with a second caregiver. Live-in caregivers will be there to provide any care needed, but they will need some time to sleep at night. Our 24-hour home care services are more beneficial for those who need constant care as we will assign multiple caregivers to switch shifts every 8 to 12 hours. This guarantees that there is always a caregiver awake and alert in the home, 24 hours a day.
We also offer hourly care options for those who don’t need 24 Hour & Live-in care.
