As we continue to closely monitor all news regarding the Coronavirus update, Assisting Hands will continue to operate under JB Pritzker’s Executive Order 2020-10 as an essential business. The safety of our caregivers and clients is and will always be our biggest priority; therefore, we ask that all clients and caregivers who feel sick to stay home and to notify Assisting Hands Home Care of Evanston right away.
Safety Practices to Prevent the Spread of the Coronavirus
To protect the safety and health of each of our caregivers and clients, our employees will be taking extra precautionary measures, including the following:
- Avoiding contact with sick people
- Staying home if they are sick
- Covering their mouth/nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing
- Cleaning and disinfecting high-touched surfaces and objects
- Washing their hands often
- Avoiding touching their nose, mouth, or eyes with unwashed hands
In addition to these practices, we ask that all caregivers and clients please report any illnesses to our home care agency to protect our staff and other clients. If you have also had contact with someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19 and experience any coughing, difficulty breathing, or fever, please don’t hesitate to contact your local healthcare provider to determine if you need to see a physician.
