Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Personal activities that one does each day to provide self-care are referred to as Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). These activities include eating, toileting, personal hygiene, bathing, getting dressed, and ambulation and a person must be able to handle these activities to live an independent life. Our caregivers will help your loved ones with their ADLs to ensure they can live safely and comfortably at home.
Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs)
Activities that are necessary to live independently but are not basic personal care are considered Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs). These activities include transportation, preparing meals, light housekeeping, and remembering to take medications. Our caregivers will assist your loved ones with their IADLs to ensure their homes are kept clean, they get daily meals, and they get transportation to where they need to go.
