Owners Greg & Kim Kling
Kim and Greg Kling started Assisting Hands in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky because of a passion to improve the quality of life of the elderly and others who need assistance to maintain a high quality of life. This passion is the result of their personal experience assisting Kim’s mom Aggie through a very difficult cancer diagnosis.
About 18 years ago, Kim was with Aggie at the doctor’s office when she received the devastating diagnosis that Aggie had lung cancer. Kim immediately switched her priorities and became her mom’s primary caregiver, assisting her through chemotherapy treatments and helping her with personal care all while working full-time. This was made more difficult because family support in the area was minimal. Kim’s father had passed away when she was six and she was an only child. Further, Kim was taking care of three young kids while Greg traveled five days a week with his career.
Kim quickly realized she needed professional caregivers to help with her mother’s basic daily needs. With the help of compassionate, caring Home Health Aides, Kim was able to be a daughter to her mother and spend quality time with her during her last few months.
While this life experience was very difficult, it inspired Kim and Greg to provide great care for those in need. They greatly appreciate the trust that hundreds of clients have placed with Assisting Hands to care for their family members.
