Coronavirus / COVID-19

At Assisting Hands Home Care, we are committed to providing the best home care for senior citizens and adults with disabilities. During the coronavirus crisis, we are also doing everything we can to protect the health of our clients and caregivers.
Our professionals are staying on top of the coronavirus situation by getting updates from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and other federal and local authorities. To ensure that our clients and caregivers are protected and to prevent the spread of the virus, we are closely following the guidelines from the CDC.
What We Do

Assisting Hands® Home Care offers our elderly and senior clients personalized non-medical caregiving services in their homes; caregivers provide the elderly, disabled and others needing assistance an option to maintain quality of life and safely avoid falls, medication errors and Alzheimer/dementia concerns.
Where We Help
Senior care at home including 24 hour live in care serving cities in Cook and DuPage Counties covering, but not limited to: Brookfield, Burr Ridge, Clarendon Hills, Countryside, Darien, Downers Grove, Hinsdale, Hodgkins, Indian Head Park, Justice, La Grange, La Grange Park, Lyons, North Riverside, Oakbrook, Oakbrook Terrace, Oak Lawn, Oak Park, Orland Park, Palos Heights, Riverside, Summit, Tinley Park, Westchester, Western Springs, Westmont, and Willowbrook.

Who We Are

Our goal at Assisting Hands® Home Care in Hinsdale, DuPage and Cook counties, is to provide seniors, and children and the disabled needing non-medical assistance at home, with the option that most people prefer – to remain independent, safe and comfortable in their own homes.
How to Pay for Care

Nationwide in 2016, the average cost for non-medical home care is $20 per hour with the state averages ranging from $15 – $26 per hour. It should be noted that these are average costs from home care agencies. Private individuals can be retained to provide most of the same services with fees that are 20% – 30% lower. However, these independents are typically uninsured, do not go through background checks and may be unable to provide alternatives in case they are not available to work on short notice.
